Tourist Attractions in the Tianjin Hedong District

Tianjin Hedong District, also known as "The Red Mountain District", is located in the heart of the city of Tianjin, People's Democratic Republic of China. Its name literally translates into "west of the red mountain", referring to the area east of the Hai River on the east bank of the Yangtse River. Parts of this district were previously part of the Russian concession during the early twentieth century.

The main districts of this region are: Wuliehui's square, which are a collection of high buildings, shops and restaurants; Xingshan Park, which is a park that is home to fountains and Chinese cultural activities such as singing and dancing; and the Wangfujing Market, which is a market with many stalls and eateries. These areas are located just west of Wuliehui's square, and north of Xingshan Park. In addition, there are several other districts in this region that are very important and significant. They are:

The city's eastern border is the Huangpu River, which flows into the Yellow River. Other major rivers flowing into the city include: Jinsha River; Zhuoli River; Lingshan River; Nanlu River; Dongsha River; Yulong River; Fengtian River; Yichang River; and the Hezhen River. All of these rivers carry water to the city of Tianjin.

The red mountains are formed from limestone and sandstone. The topography of these mountains is rocky and hilly, and they are named the Baotou Mountains, Niulan Mountains and Huangyong Mountains. There are also many other valleys, and small towns that can be seen on the hillsides of these mountains. These valleys are filled with natural waterfalls, lakes and rivers, which provide residents of these areas with clean drinking water. In addition, the Huangyong River is the main source of water in these regions.

Many of these popular tourist places are located in close proximity to these areas, including: the National Archaeological Museum and the Wangxinjian City. The National Museum includes ancient Chinese paintings, and sculptures, and there is the Wangxinjian City that has an impressive statue of Buddha. The National Archaeological Museum also houses a variety of artifacts, including an early Chinese terracotta warriors, as well as Chinese porcelain figurines.

These areas are very interesting and beautiful, and have many things for everyone to enjoy, even if you do not like sports. If you want to spend your time exploring the natural beauty of this region, you can try a hike along the trails or go swimming in a local pool at one of these areas.
